This position will be shared to support component school districts and/or Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES programs. Position requires the ability to travel between W-FL BOCES sites and component districts.

Tutors provide tutoring services to students who are capable of benefitting from instruction but are unable to attend school and/or unable to learn in the traditional classroom environment. 

The Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES provides Tutors to a wide geographical area.  Tutor candidates who are screened, interviewed, and referenced may be presented to the Board of Education for approval.  Tutor candidates will be required to complete onboarding paperwork, trainings, and provide further information related to areas of expertise and interest.

s is a NYS HELPS approved title for WFL BOCES through May 2025 through NYS Civil Service. Similar to Non-Competitive positions, this temporary approval waives the examination requirement for this title for all hires made during this temporary period. Interested candidates who are approved by the Ontario County Civil Service for the title based off of the required qualifications and experience outlined in the job description will be eligible for a probationary appointment if selected.
