English As A New Language (ENL) Teacher

Please note that applicants will be reviewed and will be filled on a continuing basis based on program needs.

Salary Range: $48,932 - $56,736, based on experience and demonstrated abilities. Benefits include paid holidays & leave time, NYS retirement, and health & dental insurance.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with English Language Learners in a K-12 setting. Special Education certification preferred but not mandatory

These positions will be shared to support component school districts and/or Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES programs. Position required the ability to travel between W-FL BOCES sites and component districts.

Tutors 2023-2024 School Year

Tutors provide tutoring services to students who are capable of benefitting from instruction but are unable to attend school and/or unable to learn in the traditional classroom environment. 

The Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES provides Tutors to a wide geographical area.  Tutor candidates who are screened, interviewed, and referenced may be presented to the Board of Education for approval.  Tutor candidates will be required to complete on-boarding paperwork, trainings, and provide further information related to areas of expertise and interest. 

This position is posted for the entire school year and applicants will only be reviewed as requests for services come in for this position throughout the year.  Applicants will only be contacted when a position becomes available. 

 

School Aides

BOCES Special Education Programs (Finger Lakes Secondary School, Midlakes Education Center, Newark Education Center, Red Jacket Education Center, and Wayne Education Center)

This is a non-competitive position. Must meet requirements of Ontario County Civil Service

Clinical Practical Nursing Program Teacher

Please note that applicants will be reviewed and will be filled on a continuing basis based on program needs. 

Teachers are expected to:

• Ability to work with a diverse population of students.

• Provide students with a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to teaching and learning.

• Collaborate with colleagues and provide resources to meet student learning needs.

• Record and report student progress

. • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of professional nursing techniques and relation to medical surgical practices.

• Ability to supervise the administration of nursing measures prescribed

 

Clinical Support Personnel 2023-2024 School Year

Clinical Support Personnel are expected to:

• Ability to work with a diverse population of students.

• Provide students with a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to learning.

• Collaborate with colleagues and provide resources to meet student needs

• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

 

 

 

Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)

Teacher of the Visually Impaired Instructors are expected to:

• Ability to work with a diverse population of students.

• Provide students with a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to teaching and learning.

• Collaborate and consult with school organizations, community organizations, therapists, doctors, colleagues, parents regarding recommendations, modifications, and provide resources to meet student learning needs.

• Instruct students in Braille code.

• Perform Functional Visual Evaluations and Learning Media Assessments.

• Communicate regularly and effectively with stakeholders.

• Record and report student progress.
