The School to Work Coordinator shall report directly to and be under the supervision of the assigned BOCES or component district supervisors. Specific responsibilities will be reviewed regularly by the respective supervisor(s) and changes will be made as needed. The current major responsibilities of the School to Work Coordinator are: - Conduct on-going job search activities, maintain and make available work-based learning opportunities to the students. This includes but is not limited to; job shadowing, internships, short term work based placements.
- Develop and conduct scheduled visitations of all co-op work experience placements on a regular basis.
- Work collaboratively with school counselors to develop career exploration, career planning, career preparation and career enhancement activities.
- As requested and appropriate, work collaboratively with the school counselor to assist the graduates in securing employment or enrollment into post-secondary education related to their career interests.
- Assist in the development of and maintain records such as: a monthly report, federal and state requirements, evaluations, and training outlines.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and counselors to schedule and implement job search seminars covering job seeking skills, completing job applications, developing resumes and cover letters, and obtaining interviewing skills.
- As requested, conduct follow-up placement studies.
- As requested, conduct a follow-up of employers for their evaluation of the effectiveness of the School-To-Work initiative.
- Facilitate round table discussions between faculty and business representatives regarding existing school district and regional school-to-work initiatives as well as the development of new innovative activities (i.e. identification of new work-based and school-based activities).
- Work collaboratively with other school based school to work coordinators in the region to coordinate activities and placements.
- Utilize and cooperate with community agencies involved in placement activities.
- Be responsible for other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

| Instructional Coordinator (Community Schools Coordinator) | | The Community Schools Coordinator works within assigned component school districts and across the W-FL BOCES organization to develop, implement, and sustain the community school model. This role focuses on aligning school, family, and community resources to support student success and strengthen school-community partnerships. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Work with component district administration to develop and implement the community school approach which is to be aligned with district and regional priorities.
- Serve on assigned
steams as representing community school concepts. - Provide leadership to promote the community school model through technical assistance to component districts in advancing community schools concepts.
- Facilitate focus groups of administrators, teachers, school staff, parents, and students identifying areas of strength and challenges within the school.
- Develop an inventory that outlines resources and gaps in service.
- Utilize data from various sources to organize partnerships and supports to meet
school regional needs. - Align community and school resources to ensure coherence without duplication of services.
- Direct family engagement and involvement in collaboration with school staff and administration.
- Develop opportunities to allow underrepresented parents a voice while providing schools with needed feedback from parents traditionally disengaged from school.
- Coordinate and align school, district, community, and regional resources to ensure coherent service delivery and minimize duplication of services across component districts.
- Maintain records and data necessary for program evaluation.
- Plan, coordinate, and support district and regional events, trainings, workshops, and activities designed to strengthen school-community-family partnerships.
- Facilitate organization and oversight of any necessary paperwork including participating in the RFP (Request for Proposals) process within the W-FL BOCES organization. This also includes Coordinate, organize, and oversee required documentation, communications, contracts, and operational processes related to community school programming and partnerships. Ensure alignment with program goals, compliance requirements and district expectations.
- Performing such other duties as may be assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning for P16 and their designee as deemed necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

| Instructional Coordinator (CTE) | | About the position: The CTE Instructional Coordinator at Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES plays a key role in strengthening teaching and learning across Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES and its component districts. A member of our Staff Development team, this individual partners with CTE instructors, many of whom are entering the classroom from industry, to build capacity in instructional practice and classroom management, while advancing high-quality curriculum, assessment, and instructional systems. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of teaching experience, instructional coaching expertise, and knowledge of CTE and Special Education programs. In this role you will: -
Assist and guide initiatives for curriculum, instruction, and assessment and provide instructional coaching support to W-FL BOCES CTE teachers -
Lead curriculum mapping and design projects, including curriculum audits -
Meet with leaders from W-FL BOCES and component districts to create a plan of work in conjunction with the Director of Staff Development -
Stay current with state and regional initiatives and support communicating this work to stakeholders. -
Attend regional and statewide professional development opportunities to strengthen work and expertise -
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Staff Development and Director of CTE Work Location: This role will provide direct support at our CTE sites. It is expected that you will spend two days a week at Wayne Technical & Career Center in Williamson, two days a week at Finger Lakes Technical & Career Center in Flint, and one day a week at the Regional Support Center in Newark. Additionally, this position requires travel throughout W-FL BOCES component districts, including possible overnight travel to statewide and national conferences. Additional Details: -
