Job Description

Regional Summer School Regents Scorers are needed.

 Key Responsibilities

• Score Regents examinations in accordance with New York State Education Department scoring guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all examination materials.
• Participate in required scoring calibration and guidance provided by scoring supervisors.
• Record and verify scores accurately using designated scoring procedures.
• Follow all NYSED and W-FL BOCES procedures related to Regents examination scoring.
• Support the timely completion of Regents scoring operations.

• $44.63 / hour

Dates & Location:

• August 19 & 20 at the W-FL BOCES Regional Support Center, 131 Drumlin Court, Newark, NY 14513

Subjects:

• Algebra I, English Language Arts, Global History & Geography II, Algebra II, US History and Government, Earth and Space Science, Physical Setting/Chemistry, Physical Science: Chemistry, Geometry, Life Science:Biology

 

Job Qualifications

Applicable New York State certification in content area scoring required

• A resume 
• Copies of all applicable New York State certifications
• Driver Education instructors must also submit a copy of their valid New York State Driver and Traffic Safety Education (DTSE) certification. Instructors assigned to teach the classroom (theory) component must also submit a copy of their New York State teaching certificate
• Principals and Assistant Principals must submit a copy of their valid certificate of internship, SBL, SDL, or SAS certifications
• Two (2) professional letters of reference and a cover letter (This requirement only applies to applicants who have not previously worked for W-FL BOCES Regional Summer School)
