Job Description

Regional Summer School Library Media Specialists at various locations are needed throughout the region.

 Key Responsibilities

• Support instructional programming by providing access to library and media resources for students and staff.
• Assist teachers in locating and utilizing instructional materials aligned with program curriculum.
• Support students in accessing research, literacy, and learning resources.
• Maintain organization and appropriate use of library and media center materials.
• Collaborate with cooperative administrators and teachers to support instructional needs.
• Ensure responsible and appropriate use of library and instructional technology resources.

Salary: 

• $44.63 / hour

 Wayne - Finger Lakes BOCES Regional Cooperative Summer School programs:

• Seneca - East Wayne County (grades 9-12, Waterloo HS)
• Ontario County Academy (grades 9-12, Midlakes)
• Yates County MS/HS (grades 7-12, Penn Yan Academy)
• Western Wayne Academy (grades 9-12, Wayne HS)
• Newark/Lyons High (grades 9-12, Newark HS)

Job Qualifications

Applicable New York State certification required

• Copies of all applicable New York State certifications
• Driver Education instructors must also submit a copy of their valid New York State Driver and Traffic Safety Education (DTSE) certification. Instructors assigned to teach the classroom (theory) component must also submit a copy of their New York State teaching certificate
• Principals and Assistant Principals must submit a copy of their valid certificate of internship, SBL, SDL, or SAS certifications
• Two (2) professional letters of reference and a cover letter (This requirement only applies to applicants who have not previously worked for W-FL BOCES Regional Summer School)
