Seeking a Student (Technology) Services Specialist in support of our Genesee Valley/Wayne-Finger Lakes Educational Technology Service. The candidate will be part of our Student Applications Support Team that supports school districts and BOCES in a nine-county region
Responsibilities include project management, planning, organizing and coordinating assessment activities while performing program updates, and working collaboratively with internal staff to provide day-to-day customer support for school districts. Coordinating efforts to correct and resolve highly complex problems using strong technical skills through phone and email software support. Provide information to school district personnel regarding Student Systems processes and deadlines. Provide assistance in gathering data from a variety of sources to be used in instructional analysis initiatives by school district personnel. Knowledge of Access, Excel, Crystal Reports, Power BI, and SQL scripting/query tools preferred.
Strong team and prioritization skills are required, plus the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written with all external/internal customers. Requirements of the positions are experience and knowledge supporting SQL databases and web applications, as the position directly supports Student Systems initiatives.
