Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES has an immediate opening for a Financial Services Administrator within Educational Technology Services.
The Financial Services Administrator provides leadership, coordination, and support for regional financial management services, school business operations, and financial software systems utilized by component school districts. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with school business officials, superintendents, district administrators, and BOCES staff to support financial operations, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and the effective use of business management systems. The position includes supervision of professional staff, development of regional services, and consultation regarding school finance and business operations.
This is a full-time, twelve-month administrative position. Salary and benefits are provided in accordance with Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES administrative employment practices.
Essential Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Provide leadership and direction for regional financial services programs supporting component school districts.
- Supervise and support Financial Services Program Coordinators and related staff.
- Consult with school business officials, superintendents, and district leaders regarding accounting, budgeting, payroll, purchasing, financial reporting, and operational best practices.
- Coordinate implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of financial management software and related systems.
- Provide guidance regarding New York State reporting requirements, fiscal accountability standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist districts with financial software implementations, upgrades, data conversions, and business process improvements.
- Develop and deliver professional learning opportunities for school business personnel and district staff.
- Participate in regional and statewide committees, user groups, and professional organizations related to school business administration.
- Assist in the development of service budgets, annual work plans, and strategic initiatives.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with component school districts, vendors, governmental agencies, and BOCES staff.
