Job Description

Regional Summer School Substitute Teachers at various locations are needed throughout the region.

 Key Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction aligned with lesson plans and materials provided by the assigned teacher or cooperative administration.
• Maintain a structured and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and positive behavior.
• Follow all W-FL BOCES summer school policies, procedures, and behavioral expectations.
• Maintain accurate student attendance and communicate any concerns to cooperative administration.
• Collaborate with administrators and support staff to ensure continuity of instruction and program operations.
• Complete assigned instructional or supervisory duties for the full duration of the instructional day.

Salary: 

• $44.63 / hour

• Seneca - East Wayne County (grades 7-8, Mynderse Academy)
• Seneca - East Wayne County (grades 9-12, Waterloo HS)
• Ontario County Academy (grades 9-12, Midlakes)
• Yates County MS/HS (grades 7-12, Penn Yan Academy)
• Western Wayne Academy (grades 9-12, Wayne HS)
• Newark/Lyons High (grades 9-12, Newark HS)
• Newark/Lyons Middle (grades 6-8, Newark MS)
• Newark/Lyons Elementary (grades K-5, Perkins Elem)
• Marion/Williamson Elementary (grades K-8, Williamson Elem)

Job Qualifications

Applicable New York State certification required

• A resume 
• Copies of all applicable New York State certifications
• Driver Education instructors must also submit a copy of their valid New York State Driver and Traffic Safety Education (DTSE) certification. Instructors assigned to teach the classroom (theory) component must also submit a copy of their New York State teaching certificate
• Principals and Assistant Principals must submit a copy of their valid certificate of internship, SBL, SDL, or SAS certifications
• Two (2) professional letters of reference and a cover letter (This requirement only applies to applicants who have not previously worked for W-FL BOCES Regional Summer School)
